At least we know the scouting report. Jim Foster does a nice job, but at least we're somewhat familiar with them. Now, we got to go back to work and prepare to play another tall center. |
He is very humble. I did mention to him earlier that I saw his 200-page media guide and he's on page 84. It's all about Ohio State, it's all about his players and the academic service center. I told him I respected that. |
I already know we're going to see a lot of the same stuff, and he might say the same about us. It's going to be a tough challenge for us, but we accept it. We know we're going up against one of the best teams in the country. |
I am a different person. I'm enjoying it. |
I'm actually as excited as you can be excited about playing a No. 1 seed. It'll be fun. |
Our teams are close. We really appreciate the men sticking around and cheering us on. They showed us that we can do it. |
She's an incredible player. I was thinking if they go to her every time, we're in trouble. I don't know how Western Illinois coaches, but I would almost be like, 'Don't anybody else shoot it. Just give it to her. |
That actually really hurt us. I didn't know (Merrill) was that good. She was good. ... She's the one who killed us, I felt. We couldn't double-team on Davenport off of her, because she was so tough. All of them were a little taller than we were used to playing, and that affected us. |
That was brutal. It was torture, only because we really wanted to see where we were going to go. |
The support we've had is amazing. It's a great experience. I'm really enjoying it this time around. |
They did a nice job of pounding it in against us. Sometimes it's like it's not fair. It's like, take out the 6-5 kid and let's have a game. |
They did a nice job pounding inside against us with a height disadvantage. Sometimes I think it's almost not fair. Take out the 6-5 and let's have a game. |
This is just amazing in my first year back .... It's surreal. |
When I resigned, I resigned. So I wept over it and I grieved. I got therapy. It was tough because I love coaching. I really believe it's a passion and it's a gift. |
