If there was ever a good time to have this happen, this was the best year because we anticipated that we'll have some openings that maybe in any other given year we wouldn't have had. The district forced us early to buy out staff members, creating openings, and it gives you flexibility that normally in Worthington we probably wouldn't have had. Certainly that was number one priority, having someone in the building. |
There was no need for us to continue on. We had gone through our process and felt we had an outstanding candidate. We felt it was important to go ahead and make that decision and announce it to maintain some continuity in our program as well as people and kids were looking forward to identifying the new coach. |
