Lamb was a monster inside. |
Somehow we're going to go from being a young team this year to even younger next year. I don't know how it was possible, but it's just a fact. |
They don't have any weaknesses. We wanted to try and take away their inside game and try to get some points in transition, but you sag off of them and they hit threes from everywhere. |
We felt we had a shot if we didn't dig ourselves a big hole. We played with a lot of heart and enthusiasm. We struggled at the end of the season. We went back to basics and things have worked out. At this stage, there is no tomorrow. |
We have a fighter's chance. Obviously, Chesapeake is still the class of the conference and have proven that up to this point. We have a shot at a No. 4 or 5 seed in the tournament, and if we get that we only have to win one game to win the sectional. |
We have to keep getting better. I think a lot of our people are happy with what we have done so far, me included I'm happy with what we've done, but by no means should we be satisfied because we are still capable of more. |
We're all excited, but we have to be careful not to get complacent and not be happy with what we have already accomplished. We have an interesting mix because our freshman group had never lost. Through junior high they were 32-0. Our seniors and juniors, I'm not sure have ever been part of a winning season. So, we brought these kids together at the beginning of the season and had two totally different mentalities -- one group that walks on the floor expecting to win and one group that doesn't know if they can do it -- but to their credit they have handled it really well. |
