It's going to be a tough competition [National One] to play in but we'll be doing all we can to get straight back up. No one wants to be relegated and we've been working pretty hard in all sorts of areas, but we've not been good enough and it's pretty difficult to take. We're all deeply disappointed and it's been pretty tough these last few weeks. We've been trying to get results and just not quite got them. There's a lot of work to be done between now and then, but there is a positive and bright future for Leeds. |
The fear of relegation means that teams will look to achieve a balance between getting results and taking risks. I will always encourage players to try something if they feel it is on - we are in the entertainment business. |
When I first took up my role with the Tykes in the summer I was pretty open minded about where it would take me. I have known Phil for a number of years and I was excited about working with him and the Tykes squad but I was always confident that I could develop as a coach and I am delighted to have been given this opportunity. |
