Different guys have different things that they're going to do. I'm not really sure as far as what everybody's doing. You have to see who the coach is. Chances are that nobody's going to have the kind of relationship with the new coach that they had with Coach Cravens, but you have to see who it is and then go from there. |
He has this ability to sit back there with all this commotion going on and just stay focused. I'm not talking about focusing on one guy. He spreads it around. He's going to hit the open guy. You can't defend that. |
He knows the magnifying glass is on him right now. We have to be very supportive of him right now. There is a lot of pressure on him. He needs to make those throws. |
He said, 'Here we go,' ... He said we have to go down and win the game here. He just has such a tremendous amount of confidence and it revs us up. If you look in his eyes and hear him talk, you think, 'We have to go out and get it done for this kid.' |
He was on fire the whole night. He didn't hit very many contested shots, we just weren't playing any defense on him, especially me. I really dropped the ball defensively. |
Hopefully, that's the start of good things to come, ... I expect to have my best performances here in Washington. I feel like they're going to give me an opportunity to go out there and be a difference maker, and that's a step in the right direction. |
I don't control where the quarterback goes with the ball or when my play is called, so the bottom line is being positive and focusing on the team aspect and I've been conditioned over my nine years to do that. But it's extremely frustrating; I'd be lying if I told you anything otherwise. But its just the way it is. It's the nature of the beast, and that's what shows a great team: when you have guys who can acknowledge that, accept that, and deal with what they are dealt with. |
I see an old guy that still has got it, |
I was telling the guys that I felt like a rookie all over again, ... It's just a whole new atmosphere. It seemed like in New England everything had become normal, because we're just expected to win. And this is a whole new challenge -- getting this team off on the right note -- and just to be a part of that is exciting. |
I'm going to try to work my way back. |
It kind of gets old, because you don't just want to be remembered for your past, ... You want to be remembered for what you're doing right now. All of that was good, and I appreciate everything I experienced there, but it's about here and now. What are the Redskins going to do? And when you experience that kind of success, everybody wants to know what you did to get there. Hopefully, I can bring and illustrate those positives, and we can build upon that. |
It was after one my best runs. When I reached my home I started shaking and got the cold chills. My wife took me to the hospital and I found out I had a heart attack. |
It was straight-up luck, ... just threw his arms up and he hit the ball. He just happened to be Johnny on the spot. It was a well-executed play. I came scot-free across the middle. We won three games like that, and sometimes those games go the other way. |
It's been extremely frustrating, extremely frustrating, especially when you know you've been brought in to make plays and make things happen, |
It's been that way the last couple of weeks, |
