I think that I did everything right nutritionally leading up to the race. I was ready, mentally and physically. I think a lot of it was just training smarter and not overtraining. |
It was a change of scenery for me. I felt like I had spent so much time running on trails that I wanted to see what it was like running on the road. |
My goal was to try to get under the 3:30 barrier. I was setting my pace for 7:50 (per mile), and I pretty much stayed on that for the entire time. |
