August, September and some of October tend to be our peak months. We are seeing some volume pickup, but it's not the kind of peak we've seen previously.
It doesn't appear we're working through the backlog. The ships keep coming.
The situation is disappointing and of deep concern. We're moving into the peak season for freight and, knowing how fragile our system is, it is very important for everybody to be cooperating and working together.
We can handle the traffic if the railroad is going. We have the infrastructure...but I'm not confident UP has a real handle on the situation yet.
We're still moving. Truck lines are getting a little long and some frustration is building, but things are moving.
With the exchange rates the way they are, a lot of imports are coming over. It's a very busy, busy year. And everybody is nervous.
