It's not the function of the court to correct omissions or failures on the part of the Legislature. One Supreme Court case after another is just pointing out the fact that we need reform. |

These groups are basically a family of people that have been traditionally supporters of, or closely aligned with, trial lawyers nationally and in Illinois. |
This is sour grapes coming from people that are unhappy. |
We're happy that there are signs of life and improvement (in Illinois), but we're still in the intensive-care unit. It certainly doesn't mean we're over the hump or hill. There's still some work to do. |
