Danville came in with a ton of energy. But with the energy they came in with, our kids seemed to ... match it. |
He's a big kid. It's tough for a kid like that (to play back-to-back games), just like it's tough for our Jason Martin. |
I thought we defended him pretty well, but he hit everything he shot ? 2-pointers, 3-pointers, and he was 10-for-10 from the free throw line. I thought our kids did a good job on him in the fourth, but we were more conscious of him and not giving him any shots because he was making them all. |
Nobody was more surprised than (assistant coach) Bob (Musser) and I. |
Obviously, 50 percent or more of their offense is Tony. We scouted the Lewisburg game last Saturday and they used a diamond-and-one defense and it worked pretty well. Levi and Ethan (Lee) had Tony most of the game and they did a great job. The other guys in the zone did a great job of doubling down and helping out those guys with him. |
Our kids were talking about defense at halftime. They really wanted to step it up. |
Snyder played a heck of a game. |
We all knew coming into the season that the league was wide open. We stepped up in the fourth quarter of many games and won some very close games. |
We can enjoy this and celebrate, but we know they are a team that we will see in the District 4 playoffs. We can't forget that. |
We got a little passive in the fourth quarter with a 10-point lead. But as the quarter wore on we picked it up. |
We're a good passing team. Our big guys had their hands ready when the guards did break the zone. |
