[Wright is] just a different person now, ... You come into Miami as an 18-year-old and you get a little wide-eyed, like 'Holy crap, what's going on here?' Now, you kind of get through a couple years, it's not so much of a big deal anymore. Now it's his time, the pressure's off a little bit, he understands what he's got to do. And it's just a matter of knowing that he doesn't have to make the big play. |
A lot of it's about pride. A lot of us have pride. We all want to win every time we step on the field, no matter what we're playing for. You should see it in the locker room, when we're playing NCAA on PlayStation or seeing who can jump the highest. ... My last game, I want to win. |
And I've wanted to get better every week. That was my goal. My recovery time is quicker. Against Florida State, I was still sore three, four days later. After Duke, I felt better Sunday night. |
Everybody was like, 'Virginia Tech's toughest test this season is going to come at Virginia,' ... That's ridiculous. We're not out of this thing. You better strap it up when we're coming to town, whether it's on the field or in the parking lot. |
He keeps getting better every week. He'll mess something up, and the next week you won't see the same mistake. The big thing is we have to give him enough time back there, and he's going to make every throw he needs to make. |
He's a great runner, |
He's done everything he can to be ready. He'll be just fine. Going against our defense is probably the best preparation you can have for going against a team like Florida State, because the athletes are very comparable and the schemes are just as complicated and fast. |
He's gone through a lot and I think that helps him. There's not too much stuff he hasn't gone through, that's for sure. He's a real raw player. He hasn't had a lot of experience. I think he's gotten significantly better. He's got a lot of want-to about him. And he's a good guy to have around. |
He's so compact that there's really not a great place to hit him. And when he smells that end zone, he really gets after it. |
How did we lose this game? |
I feel fine. I couldn't have asked for more. I don't feel like I'm being held back by anything. I don't feel like I'm being slowed down. I'm playing the way I play, and that's how I'm going about my business. |
I feel like I'm playing better every game, ... I'm not up and down; ever since the start of the season, I've been climbing up. That's why I'm excited. We're going into these last five games, it's the meat of our schedule, it's all ACC opponents and I think I can play better football than I have been. |
I have to believe we'll get it done. Someone will get in. |
I think we have a lot of attitude about us. |
I wanted to embarrass them. |
