Clearly we see that when it comes to Bush, traditionally 'red' (Republican) states do not hold the strong support they once did.

Clearly, Mr. Black is walking a fine-line with citizens at this point. Most appear equally divided, or at least equally confused about the ordeal, such that no one seems real sure about what they want him to do.

For him not to even break (50 percent), not to even approach it, says all you need to say. In five 'red' states that have been ardent supporters of Bush, he can't even approach 50 percent.

It is ironic that the legislation that may ultimately define his legacy, getting a lottery in North Carolina, could lead to his eventual downfall.

The military is disenchanted with how he's handling the war. They see him as vacillating. Rumsfeld is not popular with the military. I think Bush should change out defense secretaries to help morale.

The most eye opening view is the unequivocal support for an increase in the minimum wage.

What jumps out at you here is the difference in drop-off for Democrats and Republicans.

With (the company) being out of the loop, so to speak, that does bode well for everybody. I imagine there was a collective sigh of relief in Raleigh. I'm sure they wanted that.
