I wasn't happy with it at all. I thought I would go faster than what I did last night (in the semi-finals) so it's pretty disappointing. I didn't swim as fast as I did last night. It's as simple as that.

I wouldn't final (I wouldn't make it to the final) in any of my events. Semi-final, I doubt and so , you know, I don't know how I'd be after the races either. I could do more damage than good.

I'm excited about swimming the event because I won my first Olympic gold medal in the event,

I'm looking forward to actually racing again. It's been such a long time since I've raced now, but I do look forward to my life after swimming as well.

I've have never taken so many tablets in my life as what I have in the past few weeks. I've just been fatigued and drained. Basically for the last three weeks I've been watching TV and sleeping.

In the end it was the only decision I could come to. I would have been so far off my best it was not worthwhile. I'm not where I need to be.
