 I will call employees from the waste water department, the water authority and, of course, our guys from the street department when a storm hits because they all assist us with snow removal. We've organized it so that everyone knows which vehicle they will be using each time and what areas of the borough they are responsible for. We just all work together to do what needs to be done.

 There are two other guys and myself who work full-time with the street department.  We can do two passes within an eight- to 10-hour period, then we'll take a break, nap for a few hours, wait for the snow to catch up, then head back out again. It is exhausting physically but also mentally because you have to really be watching what you're doing all the time, making sure you don't hit anything even though you are really getting tired.
