Paul had a great tournament. He had a couple big wins early on. He was never intimidated by anybody or anybody's ranking, so I was really impressed with him. I thought all of our kids wrestled well.
Ryan came out on a mission. I thought he wrestled a little flat at sectional, and obviously this week he didn't wrestle flat. He had something to prove.
Ryan came through. He wrestled an exceptional tournament.
Ryan did a nice job scoring points for us. He got the monkey off his back by qualifying. He was a state alternate at South, so for him to get down there was a big deal. Ryan wrestled his heart out. The two matches he lost in overtime were heartbreakers. He was one match away from placing.
This is what we've been working toward the entire season. We want to prove to the state how much we've learned from the previous year.
We have to come back, get better, get ready and get focused for Grove City, and sectional, district and state and see how many guys we can get out.
We have to go after Pickerington Central.
We were a match away from making it look a little more respectable.
