A big part of it is he completely shuts down the running game. It's tough to get secondary leads off him. They can't even get primary leads off him, let alone secondary.

A huge part of the game is keeping guys from taking bases. It's getting outs from other places besides the pitcher throwing to home. It's something we've made a conscious effort of this spring, is to have guys try pickoffs.

A lot of people there thought highly of him. A lot of people didn't want to see him go. That was '95. We took advantage of what they did there. We were in the race every year.

A lot of times, what you think is going to happen, doesn't. For me to sit here and say what I'm going to do April 1 or 2, that's a little bit too early. That's not fair to those guys.

A parent of one of the girls offered to fly down and pick me up and take me back for every game.

After Edwin hit the ball out of the ball park, even his defense stepped up. He made a couple of nice defensive plays. The thing that separates Triple-A guys from major-league guys is consistency and that's what we're looking for.
