(Walker) is very athletic. He can run and jump. He's a hard worker, a great kid, comes from a great family.

[Hayes and Burton] worked their tails off last year, and they didn't smell the floor. They made a commitment this summer to get stronger and tougher, and it's nice to see them playing well.

Arcadia has honest people. No one has a pretense. It does not matter who you are or what you do, everyone is treated the same. I like that.

Bob is the ultimate team player. He couldn't smell the court last year, but you could never tell from the way he practiced. He never hung his head or whined about his role. This year, he stepped up and took a starting job, and tonight he had probably his best game.

He'd say, 'This is my girlfriend' and keep walking.

Hurricane Charley was the most memorable story I had to cover. It was an emotional attachment since it was literally happening in my backyard and very difficult for us to cover. No election, no accident, nothing can compare to that story and since then, every story has been flat.

I could tell we had the essential pieces in the summer, and the kids have done everything I've asked. Some teams have a lot of goals, but our one goal is for the kids to be perfect practice players.

I felt like we almost ran into a buzz saw. They've been here before, but I don't know if the experience factor really caught up with us. But we did a lot of silly things that really shot ourselves in the foot.

I have a fond place in my heart for Arcadia and always will. I am a small-town guy and I love Arcadia.

I just never thought he could do that. He was just a nice, quiet person. He would have been one of the last people I thought could've done it.

I think there was a lot of optimism (in February) that peace was at hand, and people could get on with their lives, but I think this optimism has been shattered now in the last few days because of the actions of the RUF and the inactions of the United Nations peacekeeping forces.
