Great win, really gutted one out today.

Gus battled through it. I think he'd rather pitch in a tight game. He doesn't like the comfortable lead.

Guys when they get tired they lose their location. What happens is they got reach back and give a little extra to maintain what they got and your location suffers but you maintain your velocity.

Haven't heard one of those in a while.

He (Rios) wasn't benched (yesterday), he wasn't going to play (yesterday), ... Reed (Johnson) got three hits the night before and that's why he's in right.

He always pitches very good when he's facing these guys, which is tough to do.

He belongs here. He's paid his dues. He deserves it.

He buries that fastball in on the right-handed hitters and when he gets that slider going you can't do anything with it.

He came back and threw strong. He wasn't as sharp as he usually is, but he had almost two weeks off. He's fine. He's healthy.

He can do some things, but the big thing he got drafted for was his bat. Everybody says he can hit. When you draft college players, it's easier to move them faster. Usually you start them in low Minors and they're ahead of that.

He can overpower you. He's got that big, hard breaking ball that's tough to do anything with when he gets ahead.

He changed his stance a little bit. He's a little more spread out, a little more crouched -- in a strong hitting position. I see a shorter path to the ball.
