It was a very, very hard-fought race with two guys from Boston Latin. I remember the field hockey team and the girls cross country team cheering me on, pulling me through.
We had some real good runners, but we never could put together five terrific runners to win a championship.
What really sticks in my mind is breaking 1:50 in that race. I finished third in the race, but I was the first New England boy to ever break 1:50 in the 800.
With my team behind me I really don't have any doubts. We're a good unit, so I don't have any doubts. I just go out and have fun. I felt good today.
