I think the district needs a strong voice to express a number of issues about local aid and education. Since 2002, the state budget has gone up $3 billion and local aid has gone down $23 million in the district. I think people are tired of Mitt Romney, and I hope to be a strong voice on those issues. |
The state has to shoulder its fair share. The communities we want to represent have lost 20 percent of funding since 2002. We have to reverse that trend. |
We need universal early education and health programs for kids. I'm also interested in coordinating existing programs to make community-affordable assisted living for the elderly. This will lessen the financial impact on the budget. |
