It is a play I've been looking at for a number of years. The problem was that I couldn't figure out how to get past some of the more risqué parts. Hawn's character spends much of her time in her lingerie. But I had my daughter look at it and she said we could do it and recommended some good alternatives that will make it acceptable to our audiences. |
It's a comedy that is touching at times. It's poignant with the characters riding an emotional merry-go-round. But it also isn't that different from what we've done in the past. It's very similar to most of Neil Simon's work and we've done just about all of his plays. While there is some innuendo, it is at its heart something that our audience will really enjoy with their families. |
We added the weekday performance several years ago. Since we're performing already, we thought it might be an interesting change and proved to be quite successful. It is usually one of the first nights to sell out. |
