I can't remember how many fights we've had. It must be at least half a dozen good ones now, in which Andy always batters Robert. Andy always comes out on top in the scraps, but in the mind games he loses big time.

I don't get much sympathy because Andy's such a loveable character. Anything Robert does seems to provoke a negative reaction from people on the street. I think one or two people feel a bit sorry for him now and again but it doesn't last very long.

I have very good memories of Peak Practice. The people I worked with knew it was my first job so everyone was really helpful. John Bowler, who played my father and is now doing The Bill, helped me out hugely on that job. I'm still relying on his advice today.

I just loved playing all that because it was the first time that Robert actually had genuine feelings for someone.

Myself and Kelvin both had stunt doubles. And Charlie Kemp who plays Max had a dummy. They had shots of us driving the cars but at a safe distance from each other. And then the crash ends in tragedy, which is very exciting.

The best thing about this job is being able to act six days a week. That's what I love doing. The worst thing I suppose is the lack of privacy sometimes. But I think the pluses outweigh the negatives.

We did well in the second half and I am proud of the way the whole team fought their way back. We do have something to build on.
