| The law is open-ended. It doesn't say if it should be given to full-blown firemen or someone who is helping or performing other functions, like directing traffic at fires. There are different categories of volunteers and different departments have different categories. |
| Would the exemption go with them and would they get credit for the time they volunteered with first? Those questions have to be answered. |
