I don't think that's in Bobby's makeup. |
I don't think today's game was as planned for either side. |
I don't think we're in a position to rest anybody, |
I don't want to fatigue him and create a problem, but he said he felt great. |
I don't want to get ahead of myself, ... We've got to get the guy healthy first. |
I don't want to get ahead of ourselves. Let's wait and make sure (Harden) is healthy. |
I don't want to walk into the clubhouse this year knowing we lost a game because of signs. It's not like we put a whole lot of signs down. |
I expressed disappointment that he and I hadn't talked. |
I feel like I say this about every area of the team, but it's true: We're going to have a lot of options on a daily basis. If we do this thing right, everyone's going to be happy when it's all said and done. |
I gave them the outline for the year and on a couple of points they wanted to be more specific. They want everybody to act professionally. |

I had a lot of maintenance my first year because we had six outfielders, so there were three guys every day who were pissed off because they weren't in the lineup. Last year we started with three first baseman and there was maintenance there. They were all veteran guys. This year we haven't had that. |
I haven't seen much of him, but I've heard he's a great prospect. He's impressed a lot of people, I know that. |
I hope in his mind he can sit back and say he doesn't have to do the whole thing. When he looked around and didn't see Crosby in the lineup, he probably thought he was our only home run threat and he had to do a whole lot. |
