It's knowing what things they like and don't like, and how to interact with them. |
It's like they always say, good hitters walk. You get to be a good hitter before you get a lot of walks, that's the way I see it. You take a lot of pitches. You can be smart and selective at the plate, and that helps attribute to walks. |
It's not really about swinging. If it hurts, it hurts. I'm hoping (to return) later in the week. Right now, it's still a little tender. |
It's unbelievable, it's a great feeling. |
Mike Lowell all of sudden goes, 'Hey, watch this.' Just watching him take ground balls was amazing. [Gonzalez] has got great hands. |
That's huge. At first, I didn't think he had it. It was unbelievable. He made a great play. |
The only time it hurt was when I hit it off the end of the bat. It doesn't matter if you have 10 broken fingers ... it's going to hurt off the end of the bat. It's a little discomforting with the grip of the bat, but I have to just keep taking good cuts. Whole trick in baseball is to barrel it up. If I can do that, I'll feel good. |
We'll see what happens, ... Baby steps. |
When Schilling is healthy, you've got one of the best pitchers in the game. He's throwing the ball good and has that swagger, and that's what you need from Schill. |
You don't want to go into an off-day in another city with a loss. You want to have a big W there and go into an off-day with a little steam ahead. |
You never want to put the weight of the team on one guy. David?s been carrying us. |
