Our close-outs have been bad. We haven't been making the second and third efforts that we normally make. |
Our fate's in our own hands. |
Our goal is to be the highest seed that we can. That is our motivation to move up. We have a shot to finish .500 for the season and improve our seeding. We have a lot to play for. |

Right now, it feels like we're finding ways to lose games. Whether it be making too many mistakes or fouling too much, it's frustrating. Last year it seemed like we had that killer instinct. It doesn't seem like we have that right now. |
Six to 10 games ago, a lot of us didn't realize the position we were in. |
Something went off in our heads -- maybe we were playing not to get embarrassed. If we started the game the way we played the second half, we're going to be tough to beat. We have to come out with more energy and focus. |
That was definitely needed for this team. He was playing like Tyson can, getting rebounds, playing defense and scoring some points. |
That's pretty much all I've been doing. You'd like to say you put it behind you, but for me it's impossible. For that to be so big a game, you hate to have it go down like that. When stuff like that happens, you feel like crap. I'm excited to get back out there and be able to redeem myself. |
That's what makes him a special player. He has the ability to carry us if we need it. |
The big thing is, it kind of breaks up our rhythm a little bit. We try to play it a little more up-tempo and then, just every time, we're picking up the silly foul or the other team is getting to the free-throw line. It makes it hard to play. |
The biggest thing with him is his speed and his ability to shoot the three. He's a good passer, and in transition he's been giving us problems. We've had to get everybody below the ball and stop him in transition. Maybe it was just one of those [games] for him. |
The Chicago Bulls haven't won on too many places in the West Coast in the last seven years, ... Whatever it is, we've got to fix it come Wednesday [in Portland], because every game out here is going to be tough, and we haven't had any success. We knew they were going to be upset that we stole one from them in Chicago, so we should have been ready. |
The coaches felt like we were tuning them out or whatever. |
The time is now. We have to do it now, or in a week or two we could be out of it and not playing for anything. If we have any hopes of being in the playoffs, we have to turn it around. |
