 (The offense) makes my job a lot easier. I had pretty good command of my fastball and slider and was able to hit my spots pretty well.

 I felt good with good stuff. It just came down to the times I made mistakes, they had some guys who took advantage of it.

 I'll do whatever needs to be done to help us win. I was talking to Adrian about this and we both agree that if we have to close for us to win, then we will close.

 The first practice is always exciting and we're all pumped and ready to get in the swing of things. We'll use the preseason practices to help us come together as a team and gain some team chemistry going into the first series of the year against San Diego.
