Farrakhan is one of the best shooters I've ever seen. We needed to stop Farrakhan and Parker to have a chance. |
He's been our rebounding leader and a presence inside all year. In the first half, we had to sit him with foul trouble. And then he got poked in the eye in the second half and spent a little more time on the bench. Because of this we really didn't have an inside presence, especially in the second half. That is when the game began to slip away. |
If we could have gone without a halftime and right to the second half, we may have had a different start. When halftime was over, we came out flat. |
If we fall behind by too much early, we don't have the firepower to come back and win. |
It's a chance to get another win. It's nice to get a game that's winnable, and who knows when the last time was that T.F. South had a postseason win. It's definitely been a while. |
Playing in the conference we have, hopefully that's improved us. There shouldn't be anybody that intimidates us. |
The way we played on Friday night I didn't know what to expect out of our guys. We just tried to build our confidence level up (during practice) and we talked about what that felt like and never wanting to feel like that again. |
They switched-up their defense in the third, our offense is different when Josh (Smith) is denied the ball. We need to battle basket for basket with a team as talented as Thornton. |
They're just as important as your first guys. When you're running through different situations in practice with (the subs being) the scout team, if you can't get those kids to go hard and you can't get a look at what you want, it's pretty much a waste of time. |
