So often we dwell on the things that seem impossible rather than on the things that are possible. So often we are depressed by what remains to be done and forget to be thankful for all that has been done.

Somehow we are going to have to develop a concept of enough for those at the top and at the bottom so that the necessities of the many are not sacrificed for the luxuries of the few.

The challenge of social justice is to evoke a sense of community that we need to make our nation a better place, just as we make it a safer place.

We do not have a money problem in America. We have a values and priorities problem.

We do not have a money problem in America. We have a values and priorities problem.

We have a huge black middle class. But they have to remember to look back and bring others along.

we in this wealthy nation are going to see that every child has a place to call home, enough to eat, a place to sleep and get them all ready for school to get an education so they can be productive future citizens.
