I just feel good for my kids. We've been on them. We've been telling them to believe. They've got to continue to believe. The definition of keeping the faith is 'belief without proof.' And we're starting to prove it. The work and effort is starting to pay off. |
I'm a positive person. Through perseverance we've been staying with this team and working through some kinks. We're maturing each day and with that we've got to learn and grow. |
I'm just looking one game at a time right now. We're going to continue to take one game at a time and see where it falls. So, that's how far ahead I'm looking. |
It's huge. Right now, any win is huge, and this is a good one against a good team. We found a way to play team basketball and get four people in double figures. It was a breakout game for Katie [Nelson], and for all of us, putting it together. We did it by not turning the ball over, and making some extra passes and making free throws when we needed to. |
Playing very well against Richmond and continuing on against GW and our execution, it shows that we're getting better. |
She deserves it. When you look at her stat line, she plays close to 32 minutes a game. She's an outstanding practice player. She had some opportunities, she got some good looks, and it's the confidence hopefully that's going to get her moving. |
She has post presence. She's big, she gives a big target. She can get rebounds for us, and she can post really deep in the paint. We have to get her the ball. She's been doing a good job. |
She's a gamer. She's just getting her feet wet. She knows where the basket is, and we're just trying to get her to play more and more defense. But we put her in and we didn't miss a beat. She knows how to score, so you're going to see more of her. |
We have to now try to position ourselves to not only get in the tournament, but fight for a good seed. It's in our hands now. |
We match-up well [with URI] if we communicate defensively. |
We've got to be able to come out of the gates ready to go. We can't have any time where we have a mental lapse. |
We've got to be able to take care of the basketball, manage the turnovers, control the boards, and we've got to be able to make good decisions in the half-court game. [URI is] a team that played against us here and we did not play well. |
