Being a 14-year-old kid, it's a shock to their system. It drains their batteries, and it takes them a few days to get back to it. They've got bus legs for three days. |
Chris has really been the guy to ignite us lately. He makes the big save and it gets the guys going. |
If you've ever rode on the bus for a long period of time, there's no way to get comfortable in one of those seats. You travel with 20 guys and 20 hockey bags -- 20 hockey bags take up a lot of room. They have to sit two to a seat. I'm lucky, I get my own seat. |
It's not a big deal for me. I played college hockey at St. Mary's in Minnesota. We'd have bus trips that were 15, 16 hours long. It doesn't bother me, but for a 17-, 15-, 14-year-old kid, it might as well be to the moon and back. |
Just anything that can build chemistry can help. |
