Funny how that changed in a week, didn't it?

He did himself proud for jumping into a big series. Friday, we didn't score any goals, and their goalie actually stole the game. On Saturday, they got three power-play goals.

He has the ability to be a very good offensive defenseman. He can carry the puck. He's on one of our power plays. He's the quarterback of that power play. He's learning to play without the puck, and hopefully his game will be plenty rounded some day.

He has the head for that, the skill for that.

He helped our young people forget their mistakes and win some games. It just seems in our game the goaltender is an unknown factor. It's the X factor, and if you can get a young man where the puck seems as big as a beach ball, then you're going to have a chance to be successful. It's hockey.

He just has to do his part, let his teammates do their part and we should come out all right.

He likes to handle the puck, get out and move it. We're going to have to make sure we put the puck in the zone where we want it so we can try to get a fore-check going.

He lives for those shots. He made some big saves.

He might be getting a little worn down, if anything.

He represents that reference that you can always turn to and pull off the shelf and ask questions.

He thought he was creating Pinocchio, for heaven's sake. He'd spend hours on it. That's one extreme. Other guys tape it up and don't even do anything to it.

He wants more. You know, he wants more responsibility and, you know, he's playing like he should get more and that's a nice thing to see.

He, too, has to go back to square one as our defensemen do and our forwards do.

He, too, has to go back to square one, as our defensemen do and our forwards do.

He'd have to be 95 percent to 100 percent ready to go. And I'd have to take a look at that ice surface.
