[The injury occurred Sunday night early in his seven-song set during] American Idols Live! ... when he pulled the left foot back to leap from one of the risers, it tripped him up. The break was halfway between his pinky toe and heel. |
Bo has really missed all his 'Idol' friends. Some have called and they stay in contact, as often as they can. Bo is just going to be happy to get back out and start to work. |
It was a major surgery, and Bo is recovering. Doctors removed a tube from his stomach used for draining blood during surgery. Today is a much better day, even better than the day before the hospital admitted him. He was very ill. |
It was especially gratifying for him, because he had not been able to see Bo in concert since the competition ended. He had just returned from a consulting job in Indonesia and leaves again today for four more weeks. |
The 'Idol' bus picked him up at the hospital for a 10-hour drive to Cleveland, ... A doctor came back stage before the show to check on him. He said that as clean as the break was, the bone should begin mending itself. If it doesn't, he might have to have surgery. But I can tell you that he won't miss a single beat until the concert series ends. He pumps up the cast for 30 minutes each day for some type of self-treatment. |
The audience went kind of wild when Bo came out on crutches, with an air cast up to his knee, ... I know Bo appreciated that because he had endured more pain that day than any day since he broke his foot. They say the third or fourth day is always the worst. |
wants the fans to know he's thankful for their prayers. |
