It's definitely a different mindset when you know the end is near. The way I look at it is, you've only got a few games left, and you definitely have enough gas to get through those, so you might as well play as hard as you can. |
It's kind of like a fresh start. I think everybody fed off of that. |
Obviously, it's only been one day, but it seemed like it was a little bit lighter mood. We are still down to business. Guys are playing hard. (Weiss) does a good job of communicating. Nate did a good job of disciplining. I can't say one is better than the other. A coach like Coach Weiss can be successful if (the players) are mature and don't let things slide. If they are self-motivated, then we will be successful. |
They just wore us down. Our play in the first half was a little bit of fool's gold. Ray [Allen] was unconscious, and we shot 60 percent. The second half, they played much better and we struggled. |
Things weren't going so well before, so this gives you a little bit of fresh air. It's kind of like a new season, even though we've already said that once this year. But it is again and we only have 25 games [left], so we're trying to push out and get a good feeling about our team. |
This isn't football. You don't have to be the best team all season. In the tournament, it's one night. |
We've had a lot going on all year, extracurricular things. I think it weighed everybody down. (On the) first day, it does (feel better). Some guys said it felt better in Florida. They said the feel was better. Hopefully, the attitude will change everything. |
