Arthur has a point. We have to be careful that we don't have owners put perks on it to help decide where we play the Super Bowl. I don't think it's there yet. |
But I think the way Paul has worked, being the commissioner surrounded by a strong staff, has obviously been successful. To me, that's the model, but I also think it's important we listen to the ideas and make sure everyone's voices are heard on the issue. |
Comcast was the No. 1 bidder. |
Come on, We have huge television contracts. |
Don't think they're not thinking about that. |
I always wondered if it was going to fall down. I could feel it in my box. It felt like the stadium was moving about six inches either way. You could just feel it swaying. |
I don't put any significant amount on one or the other. We've got everything done, labor, television; Paul, obviously, he feels he's taken it as far as he can. So let's let the process go forward and hear what everybody has to say, but I do think it is one job with a strong support system around it. |
I guess the thing I like best about it [the Carson project] is it's something that could happen in a relatively short period of time, |
I think there's a possibility. I don't know if there's a real possibility. |
I think we'll get somebody that will keep our game, our league, as the best thing going. I think we can find the right guy. |
I think we're leaning toward a partner. |
I wanted to play at home, obviously. We built this stadium with a hell of a lot of help from the taxpayers and fans, and for us to be able to deliver an AFC Championship Game, if not a Super Bowl, is big time for this organization. |
I was here the last time around with the Coliseum, so I'm not real optimistic about the Los Angeles Coliseum. |
I was very interested in seeing that change take place. Over the last 30-odd years that we've had Monday Night Football , the culture has changed in America. Monday night is not the same kind of night that it was in the '70s and '80s. People aren't at home. Sunday night is really when you find most people at home. |
I would like Mike to coach out his career here. What's left on his contract or not left on his contract is not the issue. I think Mike is at the top of the coaching ladder and I think he'll stay there. So there's no reason for me to be thinking about changing head coaches. That thought never crosses my mind, and I don't think it ever will. |
