Not perfect, but not bad times. On the second and third stages, the engine was running very warm, so it dropped to three cylinders and cut off the anti-lag from time to time. |
Nothing really to report. We're going as fast as we can and had no major problems. We tried a few small changes to the set-up on the second section but didn't notice any significant improvement. |
That said, I can't afford to relax as Sebastien (Loeb) is doing very well... I'm just going to carry on going as we are and keep the speed. |
That was very good and things went well, |
The car is getting better and better and I'm much closer to the confidence I had yesterday, |
The engine seemed to drop to two cylinders and I couldn't see over the bonnet as it was so badly bent. I stopped for about 20 seconds and then continued. |
The final leaderboard showed that I won the event, but in my mind I finished second, ... Sebastien deserved the win, but I can understand the reasons why he did what he did. But now we all have to keep going - it's what Beef would have wanted. |
There won't be any excuses in Argentina. I'm going to attack from the outset. You can't have any other strategy for this rally. |
They are too far away now to give it a proper fight. |
Today it felt good to be fighting for the lead again - that's what we're here for, ... We pushed where we could, but the main objective was to get through cleanly and get a better road position for tomorrow's Leg. We've done that now and I think we'll be able to enjoy ourselves over the next couple of days! |
We could be doing better, however the car feels good and yet we are not finding enough speed. |
We've had so many small problems and it's been a difficult day... but I'm definitely ready to fight back. |
We've just been very unlucky. We're pushing the car to the limit most of the time and things like that can happen. We have to stay together and work on the details. I can push to the limit and maybe I can go off, it works both ways. I hope we have sorted most things. I got a good feeling on the first run at Shakedown and we need do the same as always: go and do the best we can. We will see; it's not just Mexico where I've gone well, other rallies also. I think we can go the same speed on every single rally. |
What can we do? Loeb just keeps taking every stage from us and no-one can keep up. |
When it's been wet and raining and muddy, it has been our rally. |
