I think everybody can agree that on the field that [Owens] is one of the top two players on the Eagles, ... I think we can all agree he's truly one of the top players in the NFL. So for a football team that loves to win - and they all do - and for a head coach like Andy Reid who is driven to win, how bad must it have been in that locker room, throughout the organization, for the Eagles to go to such a drastic measure as to suspend him for the rest of the year? How bad is it really? It must be much, much worse than any of us can imagine. |

I'm happy for him. I believe in his talent. I believe it's evident. |
I'm not a guy that believes you've got to have a lot of experience to have success in the playoffs. |
I'm not sure, and I've done quite a few of his games. How much is he bluffing? How much is real? I know over the years, a couple of teams have cracked his code. They knew exactly what he was doing. But that's only good for one game. He changes his stuff a lot. |
I've seen a difference in him and I can't tell you how impressed I was the way he was in Indianapolis. I hate to compare, but he does have one thing in common with Tom Brady. They have a tremendous sense of being calm on the field. It shows. He doesn't get rattled and that's pretty unique for a second-year player like him. |
It has rained 20 straight days. Are you willing to bet it's not going to rain the 21st? |
It was a rough weekend. I don't know which was the worst call. There were a lot of them that creep into my mind. |
Kelly Holcomb is the perfect backup in the league. He doesn't undermine the starter, gets rid of the football and he throws the ball well and is damn accurate with it, too. |
Look at the two New York quarterbacks, Joe Namath and myself. We've done a lot with one damn game. That's just the truth. |
Make Denver make the decision here. In other words, put pressure on Mike Shanahan. What's he gonna do? Is he gonna run it and maybe waste a down because it might not gain a lot of yards, or does he take the chance and throw it and if it's incomplete it stops the clock. That's what the Patriots are hoping for. |
No one else knew him like the Jets did. And it's important that you hire people you know sometimes because it gives everyone in the organization a level of comfort. You know this person has the level of belief in the things you want carried out. |
Not changing ruined Buddy Ryan . He wouldn't change from the 46 defense, even when people figured it out. Not Bill. He changes every year. |
Of course Steve McNair is not going to get paid like Tom Brady and Michael Vick, but so what? But he should get his, and it shouldn't crush the football team. |
Playing well and winning the Super Bowl helped my credibility. Otherwise, when I'd give an opinion, people would say, 'What has he done?' If I didn't win that Super Bowl, I'd probably be coaching somewhere. TV would not be an option for me. So, (winning the Super Bowl) does help. |
