I think they've started to learn that they can do something as a group.
I wasn't really sure; he was back of our top guys a little bit at the beginning. He's a tough little runner; he was out for spring track, but he just didn't have the distance experience. Now he does and he's figured out what it's all about.
It rained all day long. There are a lot of soft spots in the woods and there's mud. The kids asked, 'Can we wear all white today?' They have that kind of attitude.
It's a great place to run to have fun. The course is shorter (2.5 miles vs. 3.1 normally) and the kids can punch it up a little harder. We love going up there. There are thousands of kids, hundreds in every race. It's a course that weaves in and out of the woods and up steps made of big (wooden) beams. The guys have a good time.
