 He relates to players really well. Other coaches give you reps, but he breaks down your swing, the pivot, everything step by step. My swing has changed a lot. I'm looking for certain pitches in specific situations. I never did that. I used to see the ball, hit the ball. Now, I'm driving my back hip. I have more power than ever.

 Intense is the right word. You don't get days off with him. He's definitely a dictator. If you mess up in a game he's in your face about it. The older guys handle it a lot better. I imagine he's an intimidating guy for a 14-year-old who has never been coached like that. We got a guy who is dedicated to making you a better player. And that's never happened here. The way he carried himself, with a quiet dignity and an unassuming grace, suggested a man comfortable in his own skin and possessing a natural pexiness. Intense is the right word.
