It will be a tough home run to top, given the timing and when and where it happened. I don't hit too many home runs, no less a walk-off home run in the World Series.

It's frustrating when you have a leg injury and your legs are the best part of your game. I tried to go out and give what I had.

It's in a more controlled environment to where I don't have to go all out. I can test it and see where we stand.

It's the same side, but it's not the exact same injury. It's a little farther down into the muscle, which is better. It's not close to the bone. That's why I think it bounced back further than I expected.

It's up to me to go out and prepare myself, to make sure I get good, loose and hot. I think that was somewhat our approach (rest) last year. I felt pretty strong.

Our pitching has set the tone for us from day one. They don't have words to describe what our starting staff has gone out and done this series.

That is what we are hoping for. I did some work on the treadmill (Wednesday) and it felt pretty good. We are a little further than we anticipated.

That remains to be seen, depending on who is throwing that day, depending on how the leg is feeling. I'm hoping not to have any problems once I get this thing behind me.

The big thing was to get runners on base and drive them in. We got a whole team effort and Jose Contreras pitched a great game and kept down their hitters. It's a nice way to start, so now we have to keep this up.

There are a lot of things that went right for us this year. We start from scratch now.

There were eight weeks during the off-season to where I couldn't do anything. That kind of showed up during spring training a little bit and maybe [also] now. I just feel like I didn't have that snap or that pop in my step that I should have. Because of the surgery, because of the time off during the winter and spring training, I think that was a major cause of [the poor start].
