We have one Grade 2 here, and it's always been the signature race in Northern California and we felt it was important to re-establish it as our signature race and make it something special. The S.F. Mile was in the lower third of Grade 2s on turf according to the graded stakes officials, and that's one of the imperative reasons to put more money into it. |
