I definitely don't think it's effort, it's bearing down and executing the game plan. You can blame it on age. But we're all in the NHL and we're here for a reason, so we know how to play the game. It's concentrating for the full 60 minutes. We aren't doing that. |
I think there will probably be a lot of guys. Like baseball a few years back, guys who are bubble players, who don't have $5 million in the bank that need this for their career, for their families, they may look at this as an opportunity. |

The lockout was a bad thing for the NHL and for a lot of teams. But for Washington it was almost a positive in a way. It gave all the young guys we made trades for a chance to [play together in the minor leagues], get to know each other, build friendships and develop some chemistry on the ice. |
