It was a good idea for Phil, but I don't think it would be a good idea for me. I've been working on a swing that helps me hit the ball right or left. But, hey, I didn't win The Masters. |
It's definitely something I can't relate to, what he's gone through this year, and, hopefully, I'll never have to relate to it. But to get him a win here might take some of the sting out for him. |
It's one of the great spectacles in golf, especially Saturday and Sunday when the fans really get going. It makes golf feel like a true stadium sport. In a way, it adds a lot of pressure because you don't want to be a goat there. |
Just him being there at the clubhouse and being seen might have affected the way they played on Monday. |
Last week he let the cat out of the bag. I don't think he had been telling anybody, but I'm sure he had been planning it for months. |
No, ... But I'll probably tell him at the Presidents Cup. He won't remember that, so me telling him that would be sort of anticlimactic. |
Originally everyone was saying they were trying to Tiger proof the course. But most people agree that it probably only helps the longer players. |
That went through my heart and soul like a dagger. |
The first, |
This year, I'm glad they didn't. |
Unfortunately this year Zach got left out, and so I did think he deserved a chance to play for the United States, |
Weird first round, but if you play enough golf out here you run into these type of things and you almost treat it as two rounds, you do the best you can until they call it and then you come out here the next day and do the best you can until you tee it up again, |
Well, there is no easy side out here. You do have a few chances to hit some shorter irons into the greens, but it's by no means easy. All in all I played really well. I played well on the front nine and made some putts, and I played well on the back nine and just didn't make as many putts. |
You have to just forget about the ball and swing the club. It's hard to see if you don't hit the green. |
You're talking about Sunday at the Masters. I think adrenaline will keep everybody going enough to get through it. If endurance comes into play, or maybe fatigue, it will be after the tournament is over. |
