Do I think he'll make his next start? We'll wait and see. |
Greene's calf looks like a trout today. There are so many colors it's unbelievable. It looks like a speckled trout. |
He's been playing the last week to 10 days with some degree of discomfort. From my knowledge, the discomfort has only changed mildly. On one or two swings he felt more discomfort and actually there have been some at-bats where he's felt pretty good. |
I can't recall anyone ever doing that here. |
I expect him to be sore after his next start but not extensively sore. |
It gives them better body awareness. |
It looks like an oblique muscle. |
This injury is all about him getting jammed and having the vessel go into spasms. We don't know why. |
We don't know all of the hurdles he has to cross over. |
We haven't been able to do anything until we saw what it was. The MRI was fine. Hopefully, he won't miss anything and he'll feel good next time out. |
We know that Jake can pitch with a broken rib. He pitched with a broken rib (Tuesday). So would it be risky for him to go out and perform well? Yeah. Is it going to do any long-term damage? Probably not. |
We want to go another couple of days to see if we can get it turned around. But it's not working the way it is supposed to. Surgery is an option. |
What we've said all along is what the MRI, we thought, confirmed yesterday. We think Ramon probably is going to need surgery. But the MRI yesterday did not change our status that Ramon, if he's fairly comfortable and can play with the pain he's got, he should be able to play. But only Ramon knows how that feels. |
