[When San Francisco strong safety Tony Parrish arrived in Mexico City last July to hype his team's imminent road game there against Arizona, the reception was different than any he had experienced deplaning in, say, St. Louis or Seattle.] From the moment I landed I was signing autographs, ... Even while I was waiting for my flight [to Monterrey, Mex.], people started coming up to me with 49ers hats and photos of me. |
A loss is a loss. We can definitely take some good things from it. But for me, it's hard to say we took a step forward in a loss. |

I always look forward to doing things that promote the game. This will definitely be an event that we'll look back on, and see it as a turning point in the international game. |
I definitely try to stay the constant. I just hate not being on the field. That's what it comes down to. It has to be something big for me not to be there. |
I didn't know until I heard it when the games were on while I was getting dressed (before the game). I told Bruce because I didn't want him to go to sleep after he made the pick. |
I don't know what it is. Ever since I arrived in San Francisco, it's kind of been like that. I guess it's become a little more of a motivation for me to shake off whatever nicks I might pick up, because I'm really just trying to be there for the guys. |
I let him know they were on the verge of a record, and the game was in San Francisco, something they would like to get and a good place to do it. I put a little bug in his ear. |
I miss him already, |

It was something I heard as I was getting dressed in the morning. It hadn't been mentioned by anyone. |
It's just about everyone doing their jobs individually and as a whole. There's 11 parts on the field working together. That's what defense is. When you have 10 out of the 11, you're going to leave holes and, when that happens, you're hoping the offense doesn't find it. Unfortunately, they usually do. |
One thing we did have an advantage of, as far as the Rams coming in, was a lot of things we did, they just didn't know what to expect. |
Personally I like his game, he is a good receiver. He plays hard, he comes to work and he produces. What else can you ask of him as a football player? Now as a person, I don't know him, so I can't speak on it. |
We didn't play consistent on defense, ... (Dallas) continued to execute and we didn't. It's a real letdown. Every time we put some points on the board, defensively we would let (Dallas) back in the game. |
