I knew it was not going to be easy, but its nice to be on the podium first time around. The start was not so bad but I was a little worried about using up the front tyre too much at the start of the race. I knew if I stuck back a bit, it was going to be difficult for me.

My rear tyre stayed good for the whole race. I didn't think Troy would be as good as he was in the second race, but I did every lap like it was a qualifying lap, as hard as I could. It took me a long while to put it together, but I finally got by him.

There was a lot of action out there and it was quite hard to pass. At the end people started to make mistakes and have problems with the tyre, and I did my best lap on the second last lap. I was lucky the two guys came down in front of me but I was certainly homing in on them.
