He's a burner. That's his thing. He can fly. He's a legit 4.4 (seconds in the 40-yard dash). He's so fast you can't cover him, and you can't play him man to man. He can really stretch the field and open things up. |
He's a good player. He's a good hitter, a good defender and a good baserunner. He also plays hard all the time. He certainly is a tremendous role model for all our young players, or anyone else who wants to watch. |
He's a phenomenal player. I don't know what else to say besides that. Players like him don't come along very often. He's certainly the best I've ever played with, so I'm happy for him and he certainly deserves it. |
He's a punt returner, kick returner, a big-play receiver, ... We'll give it to him on a reverse a couple of times. He's got one interception already this season as a safety. We'll find ways to get the ball to him. |
He's a very gifted player, and he's really worked hard to develop his skills. In the short term, we couldn't have had the success we've had (this year without him). He has helped turn the program around this year. |
He's always dangerous because if you give him an opportunity to shoot the basketball, he's going to knock it down. It doesn't take much time for him to get them off. He's a senior and he's going to make big plays. |
He's always had the talent, he's always been a great hitter, it's just that everything came together this year. I'm surprised he's pretty close to .500, yes, but I know he has it in him. He's a really good hitter. |
He's an outstanding player. I'm just happy to be in Hawaii. I'm lucky I get paid to play tennis and show these kids how much fun it is. This used to be a conservative game, now we have music, rock 'n' roll tennis. |
He's been here for so long, it's definitely going to have an effect, ... I thought he did a great job. I've played long enough where these things do happen, so you have to be professional and deal with new people. |
He's closer to being in the major leagues than a lot of people think. He hit good pitching this spring, and that's the sign of a good hitter. He was on just about everybody, and he made adjustments when he had to. |
He's consistent day in and day out and you can't really tell if we've won or lost the night before. That's an even greater accomplishment in Boston because there are things that can come up that can drag you down. |
He's doing a great job. But we're not completely pleased with everything. His improvements from the first game to the second game were very obvious (to the coaches)...We're real happy with his performance to date. |
He's got a lot of speed, a lot of talent. I expected him to do stuff when we got the ball in his hands on short routes, but he's been running deep routes well, getting open and catching everything we throw to him. |
He's got an out-clause to go overseas, but I'm probably 90 per cent sure that Motts would be staying. We'll sit down with him after the Commonwealth Games to talk to him, but we'd be swaying him towards not going. |
He's got work to do to get back any skills he may have had. Just because he played there in high school before he was signed doesn't mean he's Gold Glove caliber. This will be the focus for him in Spring Training. |
