I stepped into the Tigers situation with no farm system and no general manager, ... I had to work with scouts as GM's and not being connected in the sport. I'm not trying to make any alibis, but it's tough. I didn't make any good decisions on hiring. |
I still have the energy to do it. I was asked not to retire and told they might be able to put together the package I'd want. When I told my wife (Bonnie), she said, 'It's like we're divorced now. If you want a divorce?' So then I weighed my options. |
I still pray but it's something automatic, and I'm not even sure I still believe in it... Because I've suffered, and God didn't listen to my prayers. because many times in my life I have tried to love with all my heart, and my love has wound up being |

I think (others) were hoping James Sullivan might become a better person before he came out. A lot of people went by religion. I think some of the people were on the fence. But we all reached the conclusion he should be in there the rest of his life. |
I think (playing Carroll) is a good thing for our state. I'm pleased that they are coming to town and that we're able to compete against them. I think it's a good highlight for a lot of in-state players. I'm looking forward to a fun match on Tuesday. |
