He was so much like his dad. Not just physically, but temperament, too. He was never a mean horse, but you wouldn't turn your back on him, because he was always ready to go. If you were letting him out in the paddock, he was ready to go; if you were taking him to the breeding shed, he was ready to go; if you were taking him to his stall, he was ready to go. I loved him. I'll be honest with you, I loved Danzig. |

I can honestly say I never thought I would say that I actually win a tournament using my head. But honestly this weekend, I think I won this tournament playing smart golf, using course management and staying patient. I mean, somebody is going to have to find out when the last time somebody won a tournament making one birdie on the weekend. That may have never happened before in the history of golf, by the way. |
I didn't want to bring him back going a mile and one-eighth in the Hal's Hope because there are some hotshots in there who might make him overextend himself, and I didn't want to knock him out. He's really not a six-furlong horse. I would really have preferred to start him at seven furlongs or a mile, but I wanted to get a competitive race under his belt, and whether he wins or loses, it shouldn't exhaust him. |
I expect so much out of her. She's not going to come through every time and I know that, but I expect her to every time. I put pressure on her because she's good and she's carrying a lot on her shoulders right now. Catcher is a pretty demanding position in my mind and I stay on her pretty hard, and putting her in the three hole, when we have runners in scoring position I expect her to drive them in every time. |
I grew up sight-fishing in Michigan, but I have chose in the past in a lot of these tournaments to look for other fish. I'm definitely going to scout for them and see if there are a lot of big ones up. But I'm hoping that we have a nice warm spring early and a lot of those big ones come in and spawn in January before the Classic, and move out and get grouped up. That's the kind of fish that I like to fish for. |

I have great confidence in Judge Roberts legal scholarship, his integrity, and his commitment to the rule of law. His decisions will be guided not by his own personal view of what the law should be, but rather by a disciplined review and analysis of what the law is. The overwhelming bipartisan support that Judge Roberts received today speaks volumes about his qualifications. He is the right person for the job. |
I just thought their pressure was a little too much for us at times. When they'd get a couple turnovers or force us into a bad shot a combination of two or three possessions in a row, you simply just run out of timeouts. We wanted to keep them out of transition. … Normally, when you take bad shots from the baseline, it's going to lead to a sprint out by Dee or a sprint out by Dee that leads to a three-pointer. |
I know the Clinton administration's NSA was eavesdropping and recording millions and millions of electronic communications on Americans. Ron wouldn't talk on any phone about really sensitive things with a bearing on the independent counsel investigation because he knew his calls and mine were monitored. Data transmission such as credit card transactions were also monitored and the information passed on to FBI. |
I like John Henry a lot. I think he's a very smart guy. He's been a great owner for the Red Sox. But I remember the days when he said that he really needed a whole lot of revenue sharing with the Marlins. I think a lot of revenue sharing is very, very good for the game. It has been good for the other professional sports. I've always advocated more revenue sharing. And we're a payer, I believe, into the system. |
I started looking at what I was going to do next, so I looked around on the net and I saw there was an opportunity for an MMO, there was a person starting an MMO so I contacted him. We talked for hours on the phone, we had a lot of common interests and ideas about this title and so basically this guy was really excited, brought me on as a co-founder of the company and I've been here for almost four months now. |
I think finally in the middle of August, beginning of September, I started feeling better again. I started feeling like myself. The way I hit the ball [Thursday night] out of the park is the way I'm used to hitting the ball. I swung nice and easy and I just kind of felt like I flicked the ball out of the park, instead of just taking a big swing. I'm just glad that it's coming around at this time of the season. |
