 I'm not going to lie to you, you hate going into the regular season losing like tonight's performance. We're making excuses, but we've got five pretty good regulars who weren't in the lineup tonight -- especially down the middle. We're real young down the middle.

 With this loss, I still see us being a strong contender for the state title. I wasn't happy with the way we played tonight. ... I wasn't upset we didn't win tonight, it was how we lost.

They really got after us and we didn't respond whatsoever. I was concerned about the way we practiced the last two days and, to me, that's where it all started.

 I'm very competitive, and I would hate for people to see that as being our last game, losing that way. All of us want to continue to play. Our seniors, we'd just hate for them to have to leave on this note.
