It's great drama isn't proverb

 It's great drama, isn't it? We're like entertainment. We're a little bit of a miniseries right now that people can relate to, where everyone's a heartbreaker. The ratings people have got to love us because every one of them comes down to the wire.

 By broadening their programming (with more entertainment-oriented shows) and still keeping it under the legal drama umbrella that their niche is, they've been able to generate higher ratings. They've certainly raised the profile in the buying community with these types of programs, and to separate the two helps distinguish one from the other, so you have an entertainment network that's still Court TV with legal type of programming.

 It's very much up in the air. It depends on the ratings. It's a terribly unfortunate thing though, the lack of Australian drama. We had decent TV drama once upon a time and we lost it. I'm very supportive of the idea of Australian drama. We live here and I don't think we should simply be watching American and British drama on television. That's why you have to support things like The Alice and hope they work.

You get ratings by touching on stereotypes, the titillating subjects people talk about — their anxieties, fears, longings and desires. That's why hip-hop sells.  If it does shed light on the idea that there's real love involved ... it's great. When two people love each other, they love each other. And people should hold on to it as hard as they can, whether it's homosexual or heterosexual.
